We are united with our community

United Way of Halton and Hamilton

Archmill House recently participated in the United Way of Halton and Hamilton’s Walk This Way fundraiser. The challenge required Archmill employees to help reach their community wide goal of 205,311 minutes of activity between September 23rd and October 3rd, in support of 205,311 friends and neighbours who rely on United Way frontline programs and services.

Participants could choose how many minutes of activity they wanted to contribute to the United Way goal. Archmill’s goal was to complete 2,000 active minutes and we surpassed that goal by an extra 884 active minutes.

Team Archmill

The minutes could be completed by a wide range of activities such as: step, skip, stride, stretch, run, walk, bike, play ball etc. – how and when participants completed their minutes was up to them. In addition to the activity goal, each participant was encouraged to fundraise a minimum of $100 – to also help reach their collective goal of $75,000 to support those in need throughout our community.

As a top donor and team, we raised additional funds through cookie sales and an open donation box. We are proud to step up for our local community. Together with other members of the community we surpassed our goal at raised over $84,000 for those in need in our area.
