Michael Hill Flagship Store

EDMONTON, AB CANADA

Michael Hill Jewellers, one of the world’s most popular retail jewelry chains, recently contacted Archmill House to re-image their new flagship store in Edmonton, Alberta. The goal was to create an eye-catching centerpiece that would help catch the eyes of shoppers and create a look and feel that matched and enhanced the company’s high-end branding.

To achieve this, the Archmill House team worked closely with Michael Hill’s Australian design department to create a curved kiosk that would instill a real “wow” factor, but also anchor the space and improve customer flow.

Faced with a short construction timeline, the challenge was in working with curved, 6-foot-tall glass panels and very tight installation tolerances. The Archmill team solved this problem by engineering a custom Corian glass channel, as well as a custom bulkhead element that was 3D rendered in TopSolid. This allowed the team to order glass pieces with enough lead time to allow all elements to come together under deadline.

To round out the project and enhance the overall look, the team also installed 15 new jewelry cabinets, 3 feature wall displays, and updated storefront signage. The curved Corian glass display, however, remains the main attraction, drawing the eye from a distance and showcasing the qualities and beauty of Michael Hill’s jewelry.
