Walker Sports & Abilities Centre

We recently completed an important project for the 2022 Canada Summer Games that was led by the Atkar team. We successfully translated the vision into a reality. For this high-profile, large-scale project, we helped build the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre, a legacy facility to be used by neighbouring Brock University and the local community after the Canada Summer Games are complete. A key design feature was the wood slat panelling, which tied the building together. One of the challenges included a short supply of solid maple, but we were able to source a complementary product and meet the client’s design need.
